Several sketches, tell me what I did wrong so I can improve

Photoshop is a jerk and resized all my pictures...

my own version of Nightcrawler

Maynard, though I don't think it really looks like him

Little doodle of a dragon from class

Very cool doodle from the same class

My Programming teacher... I editted out the height indicator... (It said 2.5 feet)

Lopsided Malcolm X from the cover of his biography... again, in class

Batman... His left side is all wrong... Done during football practice... Imagine that.

Little monster priest thing I made up. Somewhat inspired by a monster from Morrowind.

Well, I'd like some crits. Tell me how to improve.

Draw more from photos instead of comics and other stuff.

Try to understand how proportion of faces and what not relate to eachother.

Start with the eyes, make sure they look right, then mo\/e on to the rest of the face making sure peices aren't lopsided.

Practice getting lighting correct by using b&w photos with high contrast lighting and that are lit well aka dramatically lit.

Seems like the underlying shapes need to be defined better. Work on the structure and build outwards. Also with some of your drawings the perspective is a bit off, pick a spot and draw towards it. Other than that just keep working on the basics; movement, proportions, shapes, etc.
