*thinks*
your girl.. looks like she's got something packing down there... and i dont mean she has a gun in her pocket....
1.her arms...
if you ever looked at an anatomy books...or..a body builder pictures..muscles have certain look..when there either tensed up or relax...
and muscles...are formed..into groups..that have definite shapes..
2..
the background...
the sky and the grass..... :|
i think you can use your imagination to conjure something a bit better for a background
for example...
where is her shadow?...how is light reflecting off of her body?
and grass doesnt look like that.. its not flat...like a peice of paper....
and the weapon she is holding..is it spear.. a bow...
i do like the look of the sky...
I like the concept of the idea she's trying to portray...
but i kinda think picture needs a bit more.. developing...before you can call it complete.

I would try to make her a bit less muscular (right word?). Females have less muscles than you gave her. An I would make her outfit a bit looser. Her ribs and her abs shouldn't show that much.

I also like the clouds, and the pose is quite nice too Just have a look at the muscles and her outfit and she'll be fine

I don't hink anything's wrong with the size of her muscles, just the defenition of them. No one's muscles are so defined, with big black lines around them. Also, no one has ovals for muscles. There are NO oval muscles.

An important part of studying anatomy is learning how skin affects the muscles undernaeth. The skin smothes everything out, makes concave curves out of the seperations of muscles, etc.

For some incredible odd reason though, the anatomy of your hands are actually quite good (despite the perspective of her left hand being very off)

first thanks for looking and cheers for the feedback guys!

yeh i totally agree with the skin comment, i need to render the skin over the muscles much more, get rid of the strong shapes I used to construct them... its just how i drew the sketch - i think this will also make her seem less "muscular"...or rather her definition less harsh, i think she needs her muscularity, i dont think a female warrior would have a lithe glamor model build
i didnt even notice the perspective of the left hand but now you mention it , it doesent look right ..
shadowwwww.....hmmm i have no idea where to start with that, since i have no reference im really not sure how to do it at all, ill give it a shot though.... hopefully her enviroment will develope aswell...
ill work into the image more and post updates soon

whoa attack of the outlines!

You're making the classic noob prob of not using good refs and drawing what you think you see, not what's actually there.

You need to draw with refs for a while so that you can get all the basics down. Especially with a woman with a spear or stick, that's pretty simple - you could find a ton of good refs with some digging on google.

No excuses for you.

I like how you attempted to Define the muscles, even though she looks a bit like a ragdoll, However the lower the picture goes, the more Problems I see. Decent Concept, Hope you learned some things from it and Keep at it..
