Awesome portrait!...

Very realistic pinecone...

And that's probably the best painting of a toilet I've ever seen!!!... I like it very much!... Is that you in the mirror?!...

Kudos!!!!

Wonderful! Thank you, very much!

EDIT: Its amazing how awesome these look without having to use very saturated colors. I remember a post by Douglas Flynt saying how in life objects aren't really that saturated, I hope I'm not misquoating him.

Great works.

Hey Broken Spirit,

Yeah Flynnt's right about the color saturation thing. But the images also look the way they do because I'm a lousy photographer.

Thanks for the comments!

Oh mannnn you are BACK!!!

Really cool paintings, such a mood in the first one!!! And the last one, you really polished your can for this setup... Damn, I got SO inspired by the things you did in Prague and I am rolling at the moment, painting as much as I have time. Thank you ever so much for that bit and another thanks for bringing in your new work!

And don´t you leave it to that!!! FIVE STARS FROM ME!!!!!!

Man that mannequin is awesome! Must have cost a fortune!
Overall that whole painting is amazing, that one and the one of Hussar are my favorites in this batch. Its a very unusual angle, and yet it reveals so much. Love the reflections in the mirror, the large drawing in the back, even the junk below the toilet.
Looking at the mirror, it looks like this painting is tiny! How large is the canvas?

You are most certainly welcome!

Guess its true that the greys make the picture then. A hard lesson to learn being a rookie painter and wanting to saturate and over saturate everything always

I'll keep these things in mind for painting. Thanks again.

This is a great little batch of work. I was hoping we'd see some more posts from you on these boards.

I am both awestruck and envious of your handling of paint. Incredibly subtle and detailed, and still retains those "painterly" qualities. It certainly a mastery of the medium that I've got a lifetime of work to try and hold a candle to. Thank you for the kick in the tail!

That roofscape is absolutely lovely.
I also really like the shadow of the beard on the second one.
What are the sizes on these?

Hey man, really nice work. My favorite being the roofscape
It was nice meeting you in Prague, talking to you about art and getting advice from you and such. I wish we would had (have?) talked more there. I was the tall lanky young guy with red/blonde ish hair, if you remember me. Was an awesome experience.

Carl, your shit rocks, and the Hussar painting was great in person, I don't remember if I told you. Nice to see the other stuff that you've been up to recently.

I hope your balls have vacancies, because I think a bunch of people are gonna be renting space there...

I'm equally in love with the roof scape. How long did it take you to do it ? This kind of light is so fugacious...

Thanks everyone.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....sizes.........from top to bottom

40.6 x 61 cm
27.9 x 35.6 cm
35.6 x 20.3 cm
40.6 x 55.9 cm

I don't remember how long each took. Probably too long.
Sorry I can't give a better answer.

I'll try to post more often. So hopefully in a coupke of weeks there will be more.

Mr Dobsky,

I think they are perhaps a little better than "shit". Nice to see them. Wish I could have seen your "Interior" in person. It's a pain having such a talented arch-nemesis. I look forward to seeing the next batch. Keep em coming.

Respectfully,

Flynt
