i've been lurking for a couple months. I'm a self taught artist. Just started to get some book cover gigs from small publishers. Figured I could finally start posting some stuff.
I gather the first pic illustrates something in a corner of a room behind a man... At first glance it's impossible to understand what's going on, and what that thing is. At second glance I still don't see what that thing is.
And, oh; Anatomy is a little weird --but I'm sure improvement in that area is going to be easy, as it looks like you are focusing on anatomy right now.

Socks are essentially glorified wooly wang covers.
I'd take it easy on the splattering. A little goes a long way and too much becomes gimmicky. I like the faces on these but yeah, it's hard to tell what's going on in both of them.
