WELCOME !! I like your appreciation for new angles. the storm drain is probly my favorite with the railing and pic of the street curve comming in close behind. very nice. try doing some up in B&W with the contrast alterations those angles and buildings could look excelent. keep it up and post more when you can.

Thanks for the comment! I've not really tried altering the contrasts before, I often like to see what images are like in black and white. I might fiddle with the contrasts.
Cheers

Cheers, mate!
If you don't mind, I would like to show you what I did to one of your photos: ![]() This is by no way saying that you should go on editing photos in the same manner as I do - even I am beginning to get bored of my pictures thus edited! But I have found it important 1) to focus on a subject, 2) to emphasize the atmosphere. Because it was still somewhat lacking, I have added the frame and the text, which is meant to channel the interpretation of the viewer and, up to a certain point, to create in his mind a certain picture, supplementing thus what the image itself has not or could not capture. Best of luck to you!

That is such an improvment! I'd never think of doing something like that... hmm, guess I'm not as creative as I thought! lol
I was thinking about cropping out that wall on the right, it is pretty distracting and takes focus off the windows. Thanks for that, you've given me new ideas!

The two self-portraits, mate, are the best so far!
They really have what it takes to keep your eye on the photo - the first (the sepia one) has good atmosphere (although adding some red into it by Colour Balance and raising the contrast level might make it even better), while the second (with you posing as a gargoyle) is extremely funny. To make the joke even more astute, you could select your face, create a layer, desaturate it and add a stone pattern. You could then either drop the rest of the body or keep it just to create a brisk contrast. Now, don't think I'm trying to boss you around and tell you what to do - these are just suggestions you may take or not into consideration... You're lucky to have such expressive facial features, btw! Cheers!

Curves? Are you saying I need to lose weight? lol
Yeah, I agree with the contrast Claude, there are parts on my face (etc) that are waaay to bright, white even. Khsh, you've got some good ideas and I appreciate your suggestions. Glad you like the self portraits. Thanks Cheers for the comments everyone ![]()

Mitch, that ones my favourite too.
Barrat, they're much improved. Its strange how only minor changes can make such a difference, the borders are good too. Cheers!
