yeah so this is just the beginning of my first big project, based off of a tut on dA
but anyways im gonna start adding buildings on the land (left if u cant tell) but am unsure about how to start. the tut said to make the buildings in the bg nearer the color of the horizon and the buildings in the foreground to be a darker color, but what color?
also any c and c is very much appreciated on colors, shapes WHATEVER you see wrong
but like i said i know i have a lot of work to do, im nowhere near done with the sky, and i have to fill in the land. i was also planning on maybe putting some boats on the docks...
I remember that tutorial.
I can't say much, because you really aren't far into it, but for right now, good luck. I rememebr the outcome of the artist who first did this, it look reallly good.
well how should i approach starting the buildings
by building off a perspective grid. This appears to be mostly about perspective, so I'd tell you to start plotting your vanishing points so you can get a correct perspective (i dont think that you chose the easiest thing possible, it seems that some slight fish-eye perspective is going on, and that would be hard to get exactly correct without having done some solid studies about it.
If you link up to the tutorial you're talking about, maybe I can help you more?
