Beautiful. Man I love the various, collaged watercolor textures and your superb, flowing line work. The little flaming skull things rock too. Personal style splashing all over the place....oh I think I got some in my eye..damn

J'adore ton style, qui me fait un peu penser à celui d' Egon Schiele, et cette image respire le bonheur de dessiner. (est-ce que je me trompe?)
Les textures sont superbes, et les couleurs bien choisies.
La suite !

you know that i am completely taken with all of our work. every little nuance and decision to me seems perfect. but one thing on this one is bugging me, the bunny seems to be eating his foot with his ears, other wise i love the new color palette and bold shapes.
thanks a lot guys for the replies !
Arctis >> Schiele est en effet une référence, content que ça te plaise: je fais en sorte de toujours beaucoup m'amuser

Another great illustration for my "Manu is malin" folder!
mister malin your work is great, je suis de plus en plus fan!
Very nice mate...it's always gold
Man..I gotta remember to buy some prints off ya..........
Beautiful work there Manu.
One question though, is it all traditional? I'm assuming the line work is traditional and so is the bg, but some of those filled in shapes look like they could be done digitally.
Not that there's anything wrong with it, but just wondering...
There is nothing wrong with using a photo to help you see things.
No one complains about life drawing,
so take a photo.

It just occured to me that what would really make my day...would be to see a big manu is malin mural on the side of a building. Any chance of that happening?

Love the linework, charecters and the way you used coloured Japanese paper.
Also the composition (how an axe across the pic. devides it, splitting figures from the realm of the ghosts) Was going to crit that first, (like that you might have added some fog or flamy stuff in foreground to make the danger of those ghosts more alert to the peopls.) Noticed the mask then wich I thought also stood for the ghosts to have arrived already, and gave that crit up.....
So, well,......that pic's tres formidable
remarkable ... have you ever seen Tibetan temple rubbings? I believe the government banned the practice years ago (for the sake of the temples), but for a time people would take paper and lay it against the ornate relief sculptures that were engraved into the temple walls ... and rubbed the paper with charcoal until a sort of carbon copy effect was created ... they were big in Hawaii when I was a kid, we had many in our home, and its almost eerie how your aesthetic seems to relate to a similar sensibility ... and beyond just simple issues of taste and design to that sort of feeling of baked in culture. Like your images carry an odd anthropological weight with them ... latent with meaning and history ... you are on a land to yourself. Superb.
okay now this is what I call ART

Wow...that is awesome! I love your style. I also love the flaming skulls.
