hey man i love you stuff i love your faces there erally realistic and i love that thanks for the comment! keep posting i like your mix of cartoons and anime and real life ahhaa and i laughed when i saw leady vs inky hahahah
It does look like you are improving...keep up the life drawings...I would almost say stop doing blind contours all together...personally i dont think they serve any real good purpose in general. Concentrate on understanding structure, proportions, and anatomy. Most of your work is looking very flat...it doesn't seem like you understand the structure and planes of the human face. You are also getting a lot of "chicken scratch" to define your forms...which isn't good..learn to drop a line in confidence...don't make scratchy lines and hope for the best. When you do studies, try to be as accurate as possible...doesn't have to be perfect, but they should look believable. You have posted a lot of work here and seem very serious...if art is what you want to do, look for some ateliers and private schools in NYC, i see you are from brooklyn. Go to artrenewal.org and look for some schools and get some good training. Don't go to college for art, especially since all of your work is figurative. Keep up the studies.
You are showing great improvement .I agree with smitherines about being more confident about your lines ,do life studies and do life studies quickies too.
Heart_x_Slayer - Thanx dude! I try to mix it up abit. Trying to find my style. Maybe I'll post some more stuff on inky and leady.
Smitherines - working on those damn scratchy lines of mine. Will post some more life studies. Alot more!
bhanu - Thanx for stopping by dude. I will check out your stuff soon.
Darktwin - I'm glad you like my stuff! The Dave Grohl sketch took about 4 hrs, give or take an hr. Thanx!

wow, nice improvement already
i like the skateboarder, and the rendering on Rogue, but the overall shape looks wrong.
BTW, where did you learn about blind contour drawing and uspide down drawing? i never did anyhing like that, was it in some book?
keep on drawing, you can only improve
hey quick question may be a stupid one but oh well what are all the circles for ? just to help losen up or somthing else?
thx thats what i figured but you never know maybe some people just have obsesions with circles hahaha
Just went through your thread... I was going to say that you have to be more daring when it comes to putting down lines with more weight, but now I see that you've already started doing that... hehe.. You've made a lot of progress already! Keep doing the studies, and keep having fun!
I'll check back

What an improvement over this sketchbook. Your studies are really coming along, those portraits in particular. I wouldn't rush them, take your time when you can, i think you'll learn more from 1 patient piece than 20 quick sketches. Awesome work with the felt pen, you're laying down your lines very confidently.
Back with some new stuff!
Flip - Thanks for visiting bro! Gotta be more patient with my pieces.
Here's some new stuff.
1.Some sketchbook pro doodles I did with the demo.
2.And some pen studies from a mag.
So that's it till later on. Will be back soon to post some more. Bye.

Nice sketchbook you have here Gmag! I can definitally see improvements from when you started. I like the skull studies with marker you did. And that tiger and the rendered portraits you've done are awsome too.
Keep up the good work!

Hey Gmags, pretty decent stuff lately. That Rob Zombie portraitīs awesome, isnīt he a comic book artist himself? Anyway, nice loose lines. Maybe the faces you draw could need a bit more structure, like indicating the cheekbones or stressing the planes a bit more. But donīt worry, theyīre already lookinī pretty solid, just keep going.
Thanx phil for lookin! Yes, I'm havin trouble with my faces but feel they will get better soon. Love you're stuff, makes me get off my lazy ass and draw!
Hey guys, got some new stuff for ya!
1.Some Da Vinci studies.
2.And finally, a sketch of rocker Mark Tremonti!! I was alittle too lazy to finish him.
That's it for now guys. More coming soon!!

awesome stuff, i like the hands
the rob zombie sketch is great, and i like the Da vinci studys..
i think you should do some studys of hair, suggest areas of light and dark tone instead of trying to draw every hair, it should make a big improvement to your portraits.
keep up the good work..
