These are nice indeed. You maintain their look very well through a veriety of emotions and camera angles.

Can we see more?

wow, these sketches are simply fantastic. the colorings leave something to be desired in my opinion. on the black character the highlights are too hot. on the top guy, they are too shallow. the girl's is pretty well done. overall, great designs and emotions though.

these are very beatiful. i really like how you illustrate the various facial expressions. kinda looks wierd seeing the black guy smiling because he comes off as being very agressive looking... like he'd beat the living shit outta me for looking at him.

beautiful consistent faces and lovely variety of expressions very pro man, only crit is that the eyes give away the "asian manga influenced look". try playing around with different shapes for the eyes and I think youll get a lot more depth and realism with your characters.
very profesional man.

Ok I'm probably going to be only guy who actually offers up some criticism, although, admittedly it is minor.

Your sketches are very beautiful. You are obviously a skilled draughtsmen. So your technique is not what I would criticize.

Even though the drawings are very good, they seem a little generic or plain to me. I recognize that this is purely a stylistic criticism but none of these characters leap out at me, or make me say "OH wow cool I love the ideas"

You have some very nice drawings of some average to good looking people. But there isn't anything in the concepts themselves that sells me a concept, or even provides clues as to what that concept might be.

Were I the art director for this project, or a producer and shown these, in spite of how good they are technically I would send you back to the table or go with a different concept, because these characters don't project or establish a solid identity. At least not for me, and a solid identity is something that I think is essential in a character concept. These drawings could be of anyone from anywhere.

Just some thoughts,

~S

If a comic was made to the level of finish you're achieving here with the light paint over sketches, I would be a very happy man. Why are all comics "inked" and "rendered"???
