Nice to see some traditional stuff from you again. Good stuff.

Great work, the first one is perfect. Nice to see some traditional work from you.
it seems like carl and his methods already left a mark at the mb studios.
itīs cool to see you work that way and kinda surprising.
i canīt wait to witness what you'll drop when you really internalized those methods and merge the solidity and acurracy with your trademark fluidity.
you sf punks just keep growing. itīs amazing!
Your portraits are always an inspiration. If I look at your work, I begin to see and feel how to paint or draw a head.
I especially like the first one. What materials did you use?
soul + expression in the eyes. Gee i wonder what formed THAT habit
I love your work, and everytime i've see more, i love it more.
the red on green combo is killer!
i might have to try that one

i just watched the video in frame by frame. fuck that taught me a lot... like a lot a lot.. the revisions on the mona-lisic mouth.. thank you so much andrew.
Wicked bro, I'm definitely going to try constructing a portrait like that. That first piece is badass...
Thanks, always love seeing your work.

Beautiful stuff bro!
With your life drawings, am I correct that you initially block in the forms with a coloured pastel or pencil and get the proportion and placement right and then go over it with a black prisma colour?
It's a very logical technique but i was wondering what you do when you just have a black pencil do you block in the initial forms and construction lines with lighter lines and erase? more insight into your technique would be very apprciated.
Also with your digital portrait, do you rotate the canvas in painter and press shift for the straight lines? Or are you just so good that you can do them with your arm?
I stupified right now... awesome to see traditional work!1 just awesome! thanks for sharing.. you guys should get and intern to scan all these drawings for you guys.. that way we always have plenty to drool over.. not that theres any shortage or droolage now!!>!
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd
This is solid, man. No crits. I love the expression your mark making has.
Any chance of a longer video? I found it informative, but the steps seemed to happen in stages rather than in strokes, making it kinda tough to see how you work. I only bring it up because I've seen some of these (a head tutorial by seegmiller comes to mind) that really gave you a sense of the creation of the piece stroke-by-stroke. But hey, don't think I'm unappreciative...I'm just hungry for more!
