Those are the kind of details you are leaving out. Even though your drawings have clothes on its easy to tell. There are curves where muscles are and bones are that are not in your picture. Theres a nude reference thread ( http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=30 ) in the reference forum (stickied at the top), with so good reference pictures. If you can draw from life, and as mentioned the loomis link can help you improve greatly.
i would say your main problem is that from the torso down, it is too short (legs wise).
Like, you've gotta forget everything you think you know about the figure and start fresh from Loomis and the other people and so forth. It will radically improve the way you draw; it's like if you're taking a test and the teacher writes the answers on the board.
