latest update, scrapped the old one, im loving this new one.
Flex: Shit thanks man! Im trying! Maybe you should practice what you preach, I love your work, would be interested in seeing more of it!
Hey brother, I'm liking what I'm seeing.
I'm digging the new style your trying out, and I think your colors are interesting. All in all good stuff.
Because of you I'm going to do something and post it up soon... You sir are my inspiration!
Another update, still have some proportion/perspective tweaks, wondering if i should add some serious contrast by turning it into a night scene.
Brall: Glad your liking my new direction, and FUCK YEAH! PAINT MOFUCKAH! Thats my aim man, to inspire others.

THE OTHER BROTHERS
whoowy! sick colors experiments. tasty treats. maybe slap on some more values. can't wait to see it finished.
Awesome stuff man. This paintings looking great!
Some recent shibazz, My scanner is MIA, so digiphotos will have to suffice! Sorry guys.
Some sketchbook kerfuffle,
A recent lifedrawing i like,
Latest progress on Sci - Five.
Taj: Thanks man, Keep up the drawing!
This girl has a great back side. Can't wait to see it done!
Some new sketchbook stuff! Apologies for images being cut, but my sketchbooks are way too big for my scanner, and im too lazy to scan in one page multiple times. The artwork isnt even worth the effort anyways.
A bunch of personal stuff, figure drawing 5mins or so, and studys of other stuff.
A really good critique i recieved a while back was that i have trouble maintaining a certain style. And its true, i feel like i draw everything differently everytime i draw. This is very frustrating. I want to draw the same things but different angles, it just seems like i draw them in different angles with different styles. Any tips?
C+C appreciated as always
Hey Braden, long time no talk!
Things are looking good brother. I like what you have been up to, it's very um...Titalizing, haha.
I dont think thats a real word, or even how you would spell it if it was...
i wish i could help you with the styles thing, but i can't even do the same character from different angles in at all. well maybe this might help. if you try to visualize the charcter three dimensionally in your head first. your akima looks like the same style tho cool stuff.
Fantastic sketchbook. Love the life studies - so simple, and yet so life-like. I envy you there. I see a Manara influence in the chicks with their tongues out.
As for the style, just draw, draw, draw. It'll come in time (although I see a few characteristic features already). Plus, why would you WANT to limit yourself to one style? Versatility is key!
Quick 30 min speedpaint, just went with the flow of things, had no idea in my head as I started it, and tried using some of the different default PS7 brushes.
I've done a few new pages in my sketchbook, ill upload later tonight!
Brall - Hey man, I hear ya, your on my msn but you never say a damn word. Hahaha, i usually say titilating, titalizing may work though.
Pennington - Thanks for the tip, I cant seem to wrap my head around it fully in 3D yet, I think I need to do more studies of skulls and heads in different angles from bridgeman or something.
Aremah - Thanks man! Ive just been working on making sure my line define forms, forgetting rendering. Now my rendering skills are sloppy and not to par! LOL Milo Minara? Yes, ive seen his work, it may have subconciously snuck up on me! Katsuya Terada was another huge influence, maybe too much so. Women with tongues out are sexy though Well i want to work in comics, and to work in comics you need to have a definitive style. I do love being versatile though!
Hey that looks dope brother. I'm really digging that update, and it's pretty impressive for 30 min. You had to have a bold hand...No fear.
The lights on but no one is home....Thats me and MSN for the most part, I'm not ususally actually sitting at the computer.
More recent stuff!
Trying new styles and rendering more or atleast trying to!
Done while watching DUNE.
A little french, and a little marko rolled into one.
Layout for a short im working on.
Pen sketches from bus, train, and walking.
Brall - Thanks man, I've been working on being more confident with lines, shapes and colours, and its taking awhile, but I think im getting better. Hahaha, yeah im the same way on msn man.
Haha man your awesome, even your storyboards are done like a comic. Great update!
Inspiring stuff, mate! Man, I love every single piece you've done for your comic (makes me want to get back into it). The character designs and their movements are excellent. You also have a fine grasp on perspective. Rock on!
Cheers for sharing 4 stars from me.
Just to repeat what everyone else is saying, you've got some kick as character designs. I'd love to see some more pages from this comic, and maybe some variety to your character types.
"Baby, you make me wish I had three hands!"
Finallly! been trying to update for an hour or so, CA wouldnt let me view my sketchbook! LOL anyways, heres some recent stuff.
I tried piecing together multiple scans of the same sketchbook pages, as my book is like twice the size of my scanner, but it doesnt appear to have worked too well.
Taj: You goin to comicon in september?
Oki: Thanks man, I guess character design is something ive always liked to do.
Lefran: Why thank you! keep drawing
Fellah: Thanks man, Look forward to your updates.
Quicksilver: Woot! some stars! I'd say do some comics, but I may be biased because I fucking love comics.
Anticonner: Thanks for the critique man, I've been trying to incorporate variety into my types, progress is slow, and i get lazy. I find I end up drawing the same damn characters over and over. Im hoping school this september will break that habit.
You've taken a while to post, but it was worth it.
I really like how you fill up the pages of your book, there is so mcuh to look at and one can get lost in all the happenings. I'm glad to see you back, and am also looking forward to seeing more from this comic you've been working on. Braden, it's a labour of love, keep at it man!
id say +5 star

amazing stuff as always, dude. I'm liking the catgirl. but you know I would. more!
Sweet drawings, I am learning tons just looking at them.
A new drawing, done on 18x24 for a swap for a computer desk! I almost never do environments let alone trees, so this was a learning experience for me!
Done in about 50 minutes.
Brall: Thanks for the words of encouragement, glad to see your taking the time to draw and post more yourself these days man.
Burning Eyes: 5 stars? wow, maybe someday!
Kina: Id draw more if I had you as my muse again! LOL ill do what I can.
Meatsworthy: Im happy to see that someone is learning stuff from my work! woot!
Wicked! You know I love trees. and i love trees that stick out of water even more. You might want to (next time) try making more roots visible since it's so close to the water. and I know that a lot of cool water dwelling trees have these wicked thin roots that are all rope-like that wind everywhere. but yeah. possibilities are endless when it comes to trees!
like I said before just to keep the trunk near the water a little smaller so it looks more like it's growing out of the water and not like it was a full sized tree that was flooded.
i love the touch of the totem (?) that's there with it, gives a really neat feel of overgrowth to it.
