A Classmate while we were in church for the confession. We were allowed to do everything we want, so i draw him while he was sleeping *G*
Also drawed in the church ( you must know I am going to a chatolic private gymnasium)
takes about 5 min to draw; tried something different
tried perspective hand, fingers are wrong at the end
thats the culture journalist of the Salzburger Nachrichte, we had a project with him in school...
This is a classmate, drawn during the phyiscs lesson. I was surprised how real this picture is, all in all not much wored out

The hand studies seem 2 go the right way. I take you are righthanded and are looking at your left hand while drawing. You should use a mirror for the faces or do lifedrawings of other people.
Let me see more!
My english suck 2
The traditional way to be great at drawing human figure is first start with Skeleton (skull is a must), then muscles, and work your way up from their.
I live in Cali so my English is sucky 2.
Check out my SKETCH THE LEGEND
ok, i will do something like thathuman figure is first start with Skeleton (skull is a must),
thank, yes i am righthanded, and yes, I was looking at my left hand. The tumb is a bit craZy... I will try the trick with the mirror right now.The hand studies seem 2 go the right way. Good Morning together,
Here are again some drawings... Yesterday I started with some arm position / head position studies; think I will scan it in a few hours. Please I need criticism very urgent, MFG Fló
My brother took a photo of my sister lieing on the steps. I tried to draw this scene.
There are many spots were I do not know what to draw and how. -again sry for my poor english.
EDIT: Just got back our first big Work in English - I got an A *G*
Just a boring drawing with a kind of gelpen.
Rememberings of the evening before in school next day
Tried to draw a face out of a dummy.... horribel
Just another unroportional head
Here my first basic head studies - description is out of the internet
some more basic heads.
When I draw, I put something on paper, which doesn't take longer than 20 min. I think I should draw mor detailed.
Man who stands still another who carrys something.
Hand/Arm/Head Position sketches
tried somethin ... today on the playgroud with my smaller sister ( oh Am I a good brother?)
Today something form yesterday.
some main arm and hand studies

Hi man, good you are practicing... I would strongly recommend you the book "Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain" by Bety Edwars, its a great book, you should try it, also check all the Andrew Loomis books for human figure drawing, there are several places on internet where you can download them (piracy?)...
I'm already seeing good progress here, man. Just keep practicing your anatomy, and the fundamentals of drawing (light,shadow,perspective,etc...), and I think you'll be great in no time.
I think I will search and buy it. Thank you very much"Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain" by Bety Edwars

Thank you, I think I should be as optimistic as you.
More drawings later, now I have to look after my smaller sister.
the studies are well done!
My personal advice to you is (please correct me anyone if im talking nonsense, but for me it works):
1. try to draw only lines, dont spent so many time on the modeling, i think the first important thing is to get the proportions right.
2. concentrate on the porportions. try to use the proportion grid in every drawing for the start (see Loomis for example)
3. try to concentrate on the whole figure, studies of the head, arms, legs etc can wait for the first time.
4. if you handle the whole figure use modelling and /or start with the studies of arms, legs, head etc.
5. details like eyes and mouses etc can wait. only hint the head, the hands, the feets for the first time...
in one sentences: make it step by step. dont want everything at one time, you dont have to make a complete picture, sketches can be as beautiful!
i hope this helps you a little bit!
oh, and my english sucks too...
cherrs ~ schnikko

Eye of the DAY: (is much bigger on paper). [Just recognized, that the file is bigger, if there are more detailed strokes *G*]
Horribel... Should really draw more of these. These are out of imagination.

something new. Just remember, i cant find the sheets we got in the german lessons...drawed something on it...
good progress here, you should remember that when you start drawing you will start to learn how to use a pencil as you learn how to make the correct shapes.
schnikkoletta's advice is good and remember to enjoy what you are doing.
also, if you find it difficult, then you are probably learning something new...
it would be really nice if you did a drawing of your sister everytime you look after her, you would get very good at drawing her and then you can give her the drawings as a present :-)
also browse this site, there's alot of inspiration here to soak up
sorry for the lack of updates. There is just a good excuse comming in my mind: I've lost so many sheets, where i drawed something on.
The idea with my sister is nice, but my job isn't to draw her it is to look after her, and i swear this is a very hard job. besides she stands never still, exept some hours during night, but to get her this far you must victism some hours - brutal hours - hours of pain - hours of tears ;0)
Ok now her some new / old stuff (have to learn so much, i just want to pass this class ^^ - not much time to draw)
just installed the opencanvas trial... very cool program!
eye - not longer than 10 minutes WITH MOUSE !

tried figures out of imagination: (i'm very dissatisfyd with this)
i really hate noses! So I drawed some *G* Really extremely wrong.
Nice that you decide to start drawing. Lot of good photographer/web designer just dont want it.
Also a progress is visibile.
I have scaned these for you. These are from Burnie Hogarth dynamic anatomy. It is exelent book, expetualy for beginners. I buyed it for 12 euros.
Keep it up!!
Sorry for my non-updating thread!
Got so much to do. Got really troubles with school and my parents. I really mustn't draw during school and pay attention to teachers. ^^ Here some pieces from the last week. Have more, but I just got about 10 min to scan and post here. So there is no time. (Just scanned 4 skethches, these are not chosen *G*).
Oh yes, and yesterday I received the book"drawing on the right side of the brain" & the workbook. Hope they will help me!
Thanks for the scan, have drew them! I will post them sometimes else. I think creating websited don't give me enough artistic freedom to express what I mean *G*.
Hope to can post something tomorrow too.
just read through a chapeter about lights and shadows:
drawed something with kina hard pencil.
I can see some big progress thrue the thred. Good to study heads. I haven't read all the posts, so I say this anyway. U should get your self a book about the human body and antomy. If u haven't got one already that means. Study and read, make ur own nots and so on. If too lazy, check out Loomis on the net.
I think the last one is one of the best pictures. Good proportions and nice shading.
Draw, draw, draw!
Thank you, I am very confident if I see something i drew.
something from yesterday:
verrrry wrong. I really should mark the eye line usw. before drawing.
