memphis college of art
well my first day of orientation was today... so i thought id toss up a review from what ive seen...
its a really cool place. the park its in is wonderful and has a nearby zoo and museum. from what ive seen and been told the faculty is great. it is obvious though that they will only show you the way, it is up to the student to follow it. it seems to have more of an emphasis on the fine arts(painting, ect...) and they have alot of conceptual art too(bleh... somes interesting though...). its really small and diverse too... people from all sorts of different states/countries. the student to faculty ratio is like 12 to 1 i think. anyways, if youre in the memphis area check it out, or even if your not, its a cool place. chris
