Do you think this is worthy for print? I've never sold any prints and I'm wondering if you would buy this?
Oh yeah it's called Fuck War.
Looks worthy to me nice lighting fx and colour
nice i like it definetly worthy
also i think it would look cool on a black t-shirt
I think the background could use more going on , also the text is kinda boring.
I dont know it just doesn't seem like it would sell well. It looks more like the beginnings of a promotional poster for an action movie then an Anti-war image.
He could be screaming, "Burn the innocent" and the picture would make more sense.
I think it's awsome. Someone is bound to buy it!
^keep me going by visiting my sketchbook^
Thanks so much for your support, I'm really excited about selling a print for the first time. And yes perhaps it could use a lil touching up before I send it to the print shop.
It's nice to sell prints but it's a different market to illustration.
This piece is a good start but I'd like to see more in the image. The wall could have more time spent on it, filling it with cleverness. The text is effective but looks quickly done.
There have been many antiwar posters and they all have their context in the times they were produced. There is nothing about yours that makes it 2005, if you know what I mean. I'd do some more thinking.
Creating images that sell on their own merits without being attatched to a product means that the image itself has to be the product. Would your purchaser be getting value for money?
On the plus side the figure has much energy and fire and the composition is strong. The lighting works well.
Best of luck
Brutal crits for today,
regrets for tomorrow
I like the idea behind you work. This piece could be better if you change some things. Your image is very literal. Use this idea but show us war without text and show us this character's emotion without the use of hand gestures. Who is this character? Give us a story. At the workshop Jason Manley emphesized that story telling is a key to our illustrations. I hope this helps
Personally, no. lol. But that's just because of content. The picture itself is very cool. I like how the light draws everything into the center so your eyes don't have to wander to find the purpose... now if he was giving the finger to the XBOX logo, I'd buy 20
the artwork is great. I would buy this. I like the message that the image is giving. war is pointless. There does seem to be something missing though.Great job
whats wrong with xbox?
Thank you so much for your tips guys, I appreciate it greatly.
I agree with the image lacking stuff. Perhaps i should add some objects and debris blowing outward.
