Holy crap!

Man... if this is what you start with, I can't imagine what you finish with! That rendition of Durer's piece is incredible! I love that style you have! Awesome first impression, man.

I'm subscribing for sure.

Welcome to CA, and please, PLEASE keep posting!

Beautiful. I love being able to look at the same composition twice, once in color and once in value. I like your shadows and highlights very much. I look forward to creating work this cool in time. Thanks for posting these.

I've seen you sneekin around some other sketchbooks, thought I'd check yours out. You're a tough critiquer, but lookin at your work, you have the right! Your work is very thurough and then, you got some sketchy stuff too. Variety is good. Keep it up. ---Sio

prehistoric, this stuff is lookin pretty good..your rendering is very nice and smooth and you have a very definite style going on. i like your latest characters because i love the arabian feel, its something i like to incorporate into my work often...such a great culture hahaha...those paintings look pretty good too, i like the first one a lot and the second one is nice but looks like a couple objects could use a little more work. nice stuff, keep it up

Your thunderdome drawing ruled your competition. Good job on that. I love the ideas behind your work. I would love to see a concept painting, I think you could do really well at that!

BTW - I swung by Utrect (awesome store) and they mentioned that you don't work there anymore. Should I have known that? Anyway, take it easy.

My 100th Post

thanks david, there were some issues, but i was generally pleased with my thunderdome drawing. and by the way, i haven't worked at Utrecht for over a year now, but that's cool. it's still the best art supply store.

as for concept painting, i really need to transfer my traditional painting skills into the digital realm. i'm currently bidding on a wacom tablet on ebay, and if i get it, expect to see a lot more digital scribbles here in my sketchbook. the other night at my friend's place i did my first wacom drawing EVER. it was a weird experience, and even though it's nothing to show off, i'm posting what i did here.

hope to see ya at sketch night soon.

Great sketchbook here, and you have a very strong control over values, something I really appreciate. Keep it up!

really nice renderingyour pencil strokes are soft yet confident. I'm kindof partial to the angel but I also really like your 1/2 machine self portrait (I'm guessing that's you) and the robot drawings...and like chris said, your use of values is great
