The Was Good For Me!

5 Boners right off the bat ***** strong start welcome to the Asylum!!!!!

I just mentioned this in another post :::: you seem to understand the importance of value ::: the interplay of light and dark shape are what create form ::: if you get that right or even pretty close to right the colour part comes easy ::: the value you thing is really part of the drawing process ::: colouring is like putting a coat of paint on a house!

The Bone Doc

great life studies, what medium did you use for those first three? it looks like some kind of ink wash, but you've done something to it

I sketched them with a hard pencil, than first used some candlewax to define the highlight areas, where no e.g. ink would stay. Than I used watery ink and a liquid black shoepolish to bring in shadows. some drops may stayes on the wax- but I liked the sketchy look...

yeah! great style, great pencil skills.

only crit: in the last pic of your first post ("death") the anatomy and pose look kinda wierd. dunno exactly why, but the pose looks unnatural for me.
other than that, nice work!
keep it up!

still waitin'

Most of these are traditional techniques (watercolour, ink...) Can't wait to cet one of those wacom screens to draw on and jump into painter. Can't really handle the conventional wacom board...

yeah, I was looking at Hewlett when I was doing the Gorilla thing. The client asked me to do so. It is a great one to refer to.
