what kind of clay are you using? if it is Oil based clay, then you can use Rubbing Alcohol, Isopropyl, and a Bristle brush and it will clean up a lot of the broken clay.
If it is water based clay, then ignore everything I said. |

It's a clay with "grog" (i don't know if it's the correct translation, it's what i get using Babelfish...
) i have heard that i could use vinegar to replace the Isopropyl in my case.By the way, thanks for the advise.

It looks great. I like that you are focusing on the details. Maybe one suggestion would be to have area of the face that isn't so detailed. You might not want it to look like theres too much going on. Cant wait to see the more progress!

The green paper you can see it's a piece of ribbon of package gift, I tighten it between my two inches to smooth easyly large surfaces. jtroughton You're right, the idea is to make a version of transparent resin modelling, and have a face behind with soft surfaces in an other material. I want also to have specimen to test used and rust metal effects, stone effects... etc

Really great work, I like how you're smoothing it right now, the extra effort really shows. No criticisms at all! Can't wait to see more...

hello
cool an other french artist here! I like your "biomechahead" sculpt. after you mold it do you add some detail in your sculpt with epoxy clay or super sculpey, before to remold it and to cast it? because on your drawing I feel some more details with little mechanics things. and where do you work in france? bravo cyril |

Thanks MinasTirithGuard and dem0n i have not the exact weight but it's a little bit heavy...
roquelaine Hi frenchy , i'll do some test of detail and painting with cast versions, if the original doesn't break when i'll dry it. You'r right, there are lot of detail in my orignal sketch, and i have benn limitated by the clay in the level of detail, i sure i could do some very interesting things with the material you call the "Super sculpey", i need to by some.I'm from brittany (born in Brest(29)) and i'm actually working in Paris in video games.

Hello there
![]() Happy new year ![]() ![]() A little Update of the Celtikead, not finished yet. i have also removed the too much clay inside to have less thickness of clay to avoid exploding during the warming in the furnace. That resembles more and more an artifact d'une old civilization... Crits, comments, advise are very welcome. Cu. Arnaud AKA HARNELBE.

i have a fair amount of experience in "real" clay and i must say that's absolutly stunning. that kind of detail and crispness out of white clay is amazing.
