Im going to start planning for art school pretty soon because im going into grade 12... so i was wondering if you are able to get a concept artist job with a BFA??? i thought u could but i asked my art teacher and he said that id have to go some where else for schooling because BFA's pretty much just say ur an "Artist"... so pretty much he ment for me to get an actual job in art bfa is bad he said
and another question i have is; do most gaming companies only hire concept artists who can do 3d modeling also???
if someone with some experiance could answer these i would be more thank greatful
please and thank u

Art jobs are bestowed almost entirely based upon your portfolio.
A degree doesn't help or harm you.
I self-published a book on the fundamentals of drawing from life.
first of all, don't think I'm trying to discourage you or anything but everyone is gunning to get the hot concept artist seat. Just to get there you'll need to draw your ass of and be the cream of the crop. It IS do-able but, like everything and especially this, you have to work hard to get it.
