Loose under drawing

A few people recently have asked me about painting loosely. Not really a step by step here. This my under drawing. I work with big thick digital chalk. very rough, very fast. This forces me to think more about value and shape than detail.

Peace
Dan

oh yeah i figured it was some sort of pastel tool.. the marks looked that way...

but more importantly i see how you can do these so fast.. they're basically colored drawings..

dadamafia : It's always nice to bring these threads back up, but you have to realise they're ancient.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for " passing on your knowledge " like a Jedi Master lol .

I got a question...once you are finished doing your quick B&W drawing with the Chalk brush...do you still use the same Chalk brush when you are applying your color or do use another brush ?

Thanks for your time Dan.

What IS this new trend of resurrecting old threads as if it was yesterday's discution? Plus, I haven't seen Dan post stuff in a while

Edit: *Looks at eho's looking the thread at this very moment and feels shame* Hi dan! =)
