C.O.W. #312. Extreme Bipolarism - WIPs Thread
For more info and details about the rules go here:
ROUND#312: Extreme Bipolarism
ROUND#312: Extreme Bipolarism
Sometimes animals have the capability to change their appearance with their behaviour. Most often than not these changes can be fairly subtle. The same is true in humans as well, we can tell that someone is angry or happy or sad just by looking at them. The creature you are going to be designing this round will undergo extreme cases of manic depression, so extreme that it's body will undergo drastic changes in it's appearance. Your creature is identifiable by both of these phases; a hyperactive, energetic, and possibly very aggressive manic state, as well as a more relaxed, and lethargic state of depression.
-You need to include two variants of the same species, they may be within a single illustration if you desire so, but you must include both variants
-One form must show it's high energy manic state and the other the more relaxed depressive state
-Try to also focus on the creature's body language and gestures as well as it's overall appearance, as it is a change in behaviour as much as it is a change in appearance

it's very first one-minute-sketch just go grasp my idea, I'm at work so It's really messy and done in a hurry but the idea is clumsy, furry mammal wich when goes berserk opens it's three jaws packed with sharp, pointy teeths and tentacle like tongues
suck a little less every day
I know that this wont make it to the pole, but I had much fun (and made it in under 15mins) and will share it. It's a photo/3d/painting mixup and it is probably breaking all he rules of the cow.
MFrhyno / scared rhyno.
BDB: definitly breaks a ton of rules but the idea behind it is definitly something you could work with.
Got time to do a quick sketch of what I was thinking. I looked a lot at roosters, frilled lizards, and things, the colors are far from final but I did have some fun thinking about how the creature discharges electricity in bursts but most of the time it is in a state of perpetual tiredness as it builds up energy for the next outburst.
First idea. Itīs pretty silly but I kinda like it. It will also change its skin color.
The idea behind it is that when the males of this species fight for a female they both fill their gas bubble and float around until one of them pierces the gas filed bubble of the other. The last male in the air gets to mate with all the females.
stinkypanda : thats quite a passive approach, might i suggest inflating the limbs as well?
Love the bubble idea. It's goofy.
Here my first sketches
Would like to hear critiques
Playing around with the idea of a over-sized spider with the type of wings similar to a Rhino Beetle. Only above views so far, but I'm playing with the thought of a mouth of the bottom of it.
Going to be adding an hour or two to the deadline! Heading out in a couple mins so no access to a computer! New topic will follow once I close the thread!
