Deadline: Sunday the 15th of December.
In addition to this, participants can choose to do an Optional "Exercise Gestures" Study, in any medium.
In this context, the 'exercise' refers to physical exercise. Such as stretching, doing pushups, yoga, lifting, or any sort of warmup or flexibility exercise. These exercises are often aimed at loosening up or straining the body, so they should present you a nice variety of poses. This weeks assignment is to include a number of such (referenced) figures in your gesture drawings.
There should be an abundance of reference for this, including videos. Be sure to share anything you may find! A few examples below.
Yoga poses - Includes good size videos!
Youtube fitness video - There are plenty of channels with videos like these to be found.

whut this? I wait till thursday night to post and im Still first?!?
where are ye, true Spartans? afraid of the cold? or are you all eating pastries with family?
well, no real éxcersize gestures'yet; just and hour pixelovely class. though the last1 might fit the bill.
1st try doing something like that on my cintic, standing. I got tired pretty soon so had to add some breaks in there.
some jaw/face life drawing. tablet.
and, an earlier mess with the cintic.
ashess; A cintiq - exciting! I was wondering what painting on those in a standing position would be like. Or placing one on an easel or something.
Those shoulder drawings are not easy. But I think you've got the right idea, especially with the deltoid. On the one hand I like that you're doing value paintings, on the other hand I think you're going too much into the extremes on those values.
We might be low on participants with christmas coming up. We'll see what happens.
Nice colour study Anthis!
Oo ashess a cintiq! Nice!
Sorry again not much time to do anything but homework this week, but really wanted to paint something since I've been doing nothing but drawing for a couple of months. Some some poses from Tara Stiles yoga on Youtube. And some 2hr-ish random portrait studies.
Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.
In a bad mood? Take it out on my sketchbook! All constructive critique welcome!

Hey guys, not so many gestures this week but a few optionals.
@ashess: Those quick gestures looking nice, I recommend trying to dish out a ton in one sitting, 30 sec max and just swoosh away! Also, jelly about cintiq! GIEF!
@Anthis: I agree with Animare, that ear is looking sweet. Your figure studies are also coming along! I'd suggest maybe refreshing on upper torso/shoulders/neck.
@Animare: Nice and careful! Such niceness as well on those portraits, especially the right one, swooosh swooooosh!
