Throwing my hat into the ring. First gestures are from about a month ago. Since then I've been doing a little figure drawing almost every day, and hoping to get to the point of some of the other posters. Second set of images is from tonight. Also, not sure how restrictive this thread is, but the first set is also from a different website, which operates much in the same manner as quickposes. Also, all the gestures are 60 sec
More 60 sec gestures from tonight.
Nice work with the gestures. One thing, don't use straight lines for feet and arms. Give them some curves to display the gesture. Check out Proko on youtube,he has a video on that.
Thanks for the advice Razvan. I've seen some of Proko's stuff, but I'll have to look into them again. Your 60 sec gestures are looking good as usual

First set of 60 sec gestures drawings in a couple days.
Thanks kraemology. Some more gestures:
more 60 sec gestures. The last 30% or so, I drew primarily from the bottom-up, instead of my usual top-down. Can't say I notice any particular difference in doing so, but it was an interesting experiment nonetheless and something I should try more often...if only to become more familiar with different brush strokes.
I think that this is great exercise!
I'm trying to do it every day
60 secs stuff

60 sec and 120 sec gestures. Seems like with double the time, I should be exhibiting better results than this, but who's to say...?
My first post \o/
Hello everyone! I started using quickposes yesterday. I really like it, very awesome. Here are some gestures that I did. I have never done gestures before so hopefully with more practice I can get down to the 60sec mark! I really like all of these gestures I'm seeing, they're really cool and they show a lot of motion. I'm hoping I can get mine to look like the ones I see here; eventually. Anyway, these are my 120sec gesture drawings. I think I have a habit to get to into the details though. So they aren't as "gesture-y"? as I would like.
Nice to see all these gestures. Keep going guys!
Welcome to thread rafael and epoch. Keep it coming. Razvan, your stuff is looking solid as usual...looking at your stuff, I think I could benefit from trimming down my brush diameter.
More 60 sec gestures. Took longer than usual to warm up...
Need to learn how to sketch for fashion design. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I was having trouble keeping proportions and getting the entire figure sketched on the 2 min timer. I have two books on fashion illustrating on the way.
Edit; sorry for the extra large images I posted, I'm not sure why they are still attached. Won't happen again.

@ kraemology - no need to make the brush smaller, just make the canvas bigger or draw on paper thats what I do
@ Dioreus - you can start with the Loomis book " Figure drawing", and for the gesture drawings don't worry so much about the anatomy and proportions, and just focus on the capturing the gesture first.
Last post for 2013. Have a happy new year guys! See you in 2014.
60 seconds (but really wanted to start focusing on anatomy, so...here. Skellies.)
Been lazy over the last couple weeks. No excuses. More 60 sec (top) and 120 sec (bottom) gestures.
