Character of the Week #329
Orc Elemental Shaman
Deadline - SUNDAY, July 7th 10PM GMT
Orc Elemental Shamans are the spiritual visionaries of the many Orc tribes. They are gifted warriors who can see into the world of spirits and communicate with creatures invisible to the eyes of normal beings. They have visions of the future and use their sight to guide their tribe through troubled times.
Although the Shaman may seem wise and serene at first glance, they are a formidable foe, and when angered can call upon one of the four elements Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. To control the elements the Shaman uses a powerful totem to unleash there power.
We would like you to pick one of the four elements and design an Orc Elemental Shaman. Please include there elemental totem.
This a two week topic so take your time and give us your best!

Looks like they had to set things back again. That's okay. Things are still working and I was told the uploader now works again.
Tried making a separate item as a totem other than the head of the staff, but didn't like it and felt it was distracting from the character. By the definition of a totem given the head of the staff can be the totem, however I realize it looks like just about every other "wizards staff" so if that's not acceptable, no hard feelings. Looking forward to everyone's finals. Good times!

The staff is fine. However, perhaps you can tweak it a bit to show that the totem is where the shaman draws their power from.
There ya go! Now we can tell what's going on with this guy! Don't be afraid of "too cheesy," because its a fantasy genre. Cheesy is it's middle name!
Now, Here is my final!
I did try to post in the WIPs thread, but to no avail due to whatever's been going on with the site. (updates, timebombs, terrorist attacks, Rebel attack runs). I also wish I could upload better quality files, but...
Okay, so here it isATTACH=CONFIG]1790960[/ATTACH]

Well if this thread doesnt fill up enough by tomorrow, I will extend it again. There were a TON of WIPS and I would think that most of you would be posting your finals in here by now. We'll see, I'll let you all know.
UG'LUK THE UNBURNT
Ug'luk began, lived, and ended his life like many of the bellicose Fire Orcs of the Burning Steppes: as a roving malcontent who contributed nothing to his village but frivolous larceny and callous violence. After his village had suffered decades of his petty crimes and general cantankerousness the village elders sentenced Ug'luk to be sacrificed in a volcano to Pa'tuk'tuk, the Goddess of Flame. To a chanting mob Ug'luk was hurled into the caldera... only to arrive back in his village days later, chanting and gibbering insanely.
The Orc had been transformed by his execution in fire in ways that even the Orcs of the Burning Steppes could not agree upon. Rumors spread faster than wildfire in his wake. Some claimed that Ug'luk had been saved by the Goddess Pa'tuk'tuk and made Her prophet, and that She had gifted him with an ever-burning stone known as The Ember to display Her favor. Others claimed that Ug'luk had become a shaman, a supernatural being like the Ancients of legend who could bend the volcano's fire to their will. All agreed that, whatever had happened to Ug'luk, the fire had completely stolen his mind and left only madness in the ashes.
Now calling himself Ug'luk the Unburnt (a misnomer, considering his numerous burn scars) the crazed Orc now roams the lands he once prowled, forever an outcast, traveling from village to village with the Ember in hand and "gifting" anything (or anyone) flammable with Pa'tuk'tuk's warming embrace.

Also check out my new website!
Here's my water shaman.
Sup guys, long time lurker, first time chow-er. This little guy's earth totem is the branch of an ancient tree hung from his neck. And when magic fails- a gnarled root for some old-fashioned head bashing, an old standby from before he came upon his shamanistic powers.
Everybodys' concepts look really great, good luck!
That's actually really great, because for some reason my final image isn't showing up, but my WIPs are.
Gives me some time to figure this out.
Okay, here's the WIP that isn't showing up: sorry if this isn't the norm; spreading out posts and all.
Sorry if these are really big, too; my screen is quite large, and screenshots are the only things that upload easily; my internet is very slow.
