Hello there! My name is Jack and I am 27 from the UK. My life long ambition has been to create concept art for games and movies, however I have (as my user name implies) felt somewhat discouraged by my own abilities when comparing my art to others.
I am not much of a painter but more of an illustrated (using inks, pencils etc) and was wondering from professionals and experienced artists alike, are using these mediums appropriate for achieving a career in concept art?
I'm very much inspired by artists such as Matt Rhodes, Ashley Wood, Yoji Shinkawa etc
I feel I need a boost in confidence with my own abilities, I have made some threads here in the critique area on my work but have had no replies and so perhaps I need a fresh start on my work ethos?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks for reading this
