Hey guys, I'm really interested in joining TAD and I'm considering applying for this next start date (september). I do have a couple of questions I'd like to get out of the way before I apply.
1 - How do the online classes work? I know students have a proprietary software which they use to watch the classes and interact real-time with the instructor and the students. My question is (subquestion I guess):
- do we have classes every day? Do we get to spend time with our classmates after classes? Is it common for fellow students to hang out together while practicing and studying? I'm asking this because one of the benefits of on-site classes is the sharing of information and the whole "work" energy you get when everyone is there next to you working. I read that we have 3-8 hours of classes everyday or something like that and that after it, some classes have set up a ventrilo server to hang around and help each other to stay focused. I was wondering if that's a common practice since it would help a TON with the focus that you somewhat lose when you take an online class.
2 - Is it advisable to apply NOW and secure a spot or work on my portfolio a bit more and hope for a shot at a small discount? If I send in a more rounded-out portfolio later will I risk not being able to join for this semester? I'm at a point in my life which I need to get something done ASAP and this is by far the best time, one that I have spare time to take the full-time course and dedicate myself completely to it so I wouldn't want to have to wait 6 months to start and lose out on this advantage.
Thanks in advance,
