What do you think?
What DO I think?
Well,did you use references?
What is going on with her arm?
A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
Nose is pointing up, chin is pointing down. Too many similar browns are making visual mush.
Thank you everyone! I fixed up the hand and played around with my face a little more. Responding to Artimatum (cleaver nickname) I did use reference, but not the best of myself, the shadows were really flat and it was hard to gage from it. As always, I will work harder because while I am really proud of this image, I know I can do better! Thanks again!
I like the color palette, presentation and composition, but the concept isn't very coherent. Are you making a statement? BTW: Mexicans, Greeks and Italians are all white.
Onto the technical stuff. You need to be more deliberate with your lighting source. Right now it's a little wishy washy and it's really flattening out the image.
The hands remind me of the ones I used to draw. Just keep on working on it and you'll improve. You might want to play down the features (knuckles, fingernails, etc.) for a while.
The graphic design is a bit disorganized. Like "five a ticket cents". There is the general rule of only using two type faces too. The text you are using on the wheel breaks the motif. The radial filter is too obvious and unnatural looking. You'd be better off not using it, but at least tone it down.
If you have adobe illustrator you may want to do your graphic design in there. It has a greater sensitivity toward shape and space.
