trying to work on this piece and looking for crits. Still really searching out the overall composition rather than rendering details, obviously. Looking for any help / guidance. The stupid lighting / color scheme really kicking my rear. My biggest problem right now (next on my list to address, is her skin tones, as they're jank right now...)
Thanks in advance,

Out of curiosity, is there a reason she's spreading her legs as wide apart as possible? There were a few odd anatomy choices in your sketch, but most went away after your coloring. Though the legs still look a little thick.
I second Look's comment, it looks odd doing that, like, it would hurt to sit like that for long, I know that if I do that, I have to really arch my back, it hurts my thighs and back after a little while
I am wondering what sort of gym eqipment she is on too, that is not a good look for her and as the guys have said would be painful not to mention it does nothing for the narative of the image it confuses things more.
Her face a has a a regal and haughty look about it that has a lot of potential try looking up an image of a woman with her feet up on something with her legs crossed maybe at the ankles. This would give her a superior and negligent attitude to the viewer that you could play on.
all the best with it matey, this has a lot of promise and I hope the story behind it comes through more.
A great kind hearted lumbering bullock

I would make her hand that is pointing at the viewer A bit bigger because that way the picture is more 3D, also because of her straight upper body she does'nt seem like she is sitting relaxed,

@look, thanks for the observation. I'll try and pay attention to her leg thickness. Overall, I was looking for a sexually aggressive pose, but yah, feels awkward.
@self-epidemic. I'm taking another run at the overall pose now. I knew she was in an uncomfortable position, but I didn't feel it was too unnatural. I was trying to do the opposite of an arrogant slouch, but I guess I wasn't too successful. Thanks. Hopefully the update, when it comes, will be a little more natural.
@Lightship69, thanks. I'm reworking the pose a little, but you're definitely right about the lack of narrative. I'm going to have to do a better job of that.
@dmo0113, thanks. I'll take a look at that while I'm re-roughing this all out.
One of my favorite paintings of mine is this one and I'm trying to stay away from this pose/attitude (but I felt it was really successful):
