Sadly no inspiration to draw any studies lately, I open Photoshop paste a photo stare for a while and turn it off, depressing
Anyway, at least I work on that game project, I'm new to textures and experimenting with them, also worked a little on the gui panel:
Some sketches for story characters - peasants, a little research with what clothes did they wear

Your video game goblins already looked good, but your 1700s pirates are significantly better than your earlier human characters.
I can't get into practicing lately :/
and more work on the textures:
Working on that project, only 5 days left
You have lots of fun ideas, your just missing the fundamental boring stuff to really bring your stuff to life.
Page 1 has some good examples of boxmen and gestures. You should definitely keep doing these. My best suggestion would be to slow down and do some longer studies. The boxmen, for example are very dis proportioned. Do some studies where you draw boxes over real figures so you can see how big and close the forms are.
Also, do some really really boring perspective studies. Not your favorite new character, or fun game stuff- but cubes, cylinders, cones. Practice drawing lines on them, stacking them, rotating them - in perspective. Slow down and take the time to draw the structural lines, using vanishing points and all that jazz.
Keep doing gestures. ideally you want to do this every single day. I like to carry a sketchbook with me everywhere and draw on the bus, or while I'm waiting for someone, or with a friend.
If you can find a sketchbook partner, it's even better. I can't wait for summer and warm drawing weather!
you will slowly improve if you work on fun projects, but you will see measurable improvement if you take the time to do the boring stuff.
I did a quick sketch over post #67. With something like this, it's best to work out the guy underneath before you put clothes over top. With his shoulder's hidden, it's hard to guesstimate how his arms are working, and you've got the right arm significantly shorter than the left. with the left connecting too low on the torso.
Also, there's no room for his pelvis, with the big cleft in his pants.
It's pretty sweet that your making a game. Do you do the programing yourself in actionscript? I tried to teach myself once and I pretty much went cross eyed and fell over. lol, I think I'll stick to drawing!!
I hope this helps! Just keep being stubborn and forcing yourself to do the boring stuff. You'll be a rockstar in no time ^_^
Wow, thanks for so much feedback, and you're right - I still don't even know basics, but it's hard to force myself to draw boxes in perspective
Anyway, you motivated me to draw some gestures again, will try to keep at this and draw them everyday:
About the game, heh, It's already 4 years since I started trying out programs like Construct of Multimedia Fusion 2, I know C++ and GML (GameMaker Language) but atm I don't program by myself, I stick to the design, art, organizing work (directoring the team), marketing and PR. At the moment I work on 3 projects and in each I have a programmer to make this part of work.
If I'd like to do everything by myself I'd never finish anything ^^
You can find out more about these games here http://codedaemons.com/
Once again thanks for your feedback, very useful and motivating!
Okay, one more before going to sleep

A lot of drawing today, when I finish this game (this Friday) I so much want to make a Game of Thrones still study, best series ever, what a shame my fav claimer died
and just before going to sleep:
Thank you for commenting on my SB, I thought I could drop by
Nice stuff, I bet that game is going to be great! But I think you should work a little on your painting skills. The paintings are good but the sketches look better and some of the flow they have is lost with the color.
About the sketches to paintings some ppl told me the same, but I don't know what can I do with it.
All three guards finished:

Practicing hands and characters
(hands are 2 minutes per each)
37 is so bad >.>
10 more to go!
yeah, you're right, I should focus on anatomy in my personal pieces, I know it better than I draw for sure, dunno why I didn't bother with it
Anyway, using my new phone ( ) here are a few last pages of my sketchbook
I have so many plans for what to study after I finish those 50 characters, firstly I'm gonna go for some faces (maybe with focus on females), more hands, so many possibilities
Challenge completed, was fun
Thanks, yeah, as I finished that challenge I'm gonna do some finished works hopefully
