Hopefully I am not... doing this wrong. I'm 25, and really just ("just"?) a hobbyist. But I've been drawing since I was little and haven't ever really lost the desire to experiment and improve, albeit in my slow, meandering way, so I'm really looking forward to some critique and feedback. (:
My kind of vague goals right now are to work on environments / backgrounds / solidifying character designs / make my "finished" paintings look less stiff. I feel like I often lose a lot of "motion" and detail/texture when I go from pencils to color.

Never have as much time to sketch as I'd like, but I've been doing some environment thumbnails when I get the chance to get better with value and composition.
I really like the colour and texture in the first one.
