I tried to do some concept art, armed civilian. It's sort of weird how a man dressed like this would have be considered "modern military" at one point (1600ish?). Just like now a days when you get all your gear when you enlist in the military. WACK
"hey mom I got my helmet and Halberd, training starts tommorow" lol
lets hear some crits

The Entertainment and Concept Art forum is a weird place :U . If you really want critique maybe you should consider posting this in the Critique Center forum, since most people who give great crits are over there.
I think you should work more on the edges of the outline, since some of them are a bit jagged. Also the chest armor seems shorter on the right side (our right)
Maybe this is just me being nitpicky, but in the background I can see where you used the eraser tool to erase the scanned paper, since the area around the sword and near the soldier's feet is white while the rest is more cream colored.
There is no soft transition between the erased part and the paper part so it looks a bit sloppy.
I hope this helped!
ah wrong forum..
good crits though, gotta agree.
looking for some crits on clothing too...
mods feel free to move this as well to a more suitable forum. I'm trying to improve on my character designs. I'm making a portfolio since I'm applying to art school.
