A few years ago I submitted my portfolio to a couple of agencies in LA area. I got into the 'backup roster', which means nothing. I got some offers from the other agency but I kicked the chance. Now I am taking a couple of storyboard-related classes and I plan to submit a new portfolio around this May.
I am just curious. If I get into their regular roster, how much do I work and how much do I earn? I hope I can make living wages. I live 50 miles east of LA and It's really difficult to commute to Los Angeles area. (think about all the gas money) And...I still live at home.
I know a few storyboard artists who work without an agency, and I am amazed how they can find gigs.
