So I figure I'll start one of these babies up to get some critiques and stir up some motivational juices. I'll probably keep this mostly analog for now, but I might toss in some digital stuff every once in awhile. Who knows where this will go...
These are a few sketches culled from my most recent sketchbook. Not much, but I'm trying to motivate myself to draw every day. These were all done with 2H and HB pencils. I've got a weird thing about using softer pencils, a habit which I'm trying hard to break. I think I need to get some fixative cause whenever I use softer pencils my sketchbook just ends up lookin really messy. Anyone got any tips on using a variety of pencils? Anyway, here's the pics:
There ya go. Lookin forward to keeping this thing running.
So the analog thing is already out the window. Played around with Alias Sketchbook Pro today for a while, just letting the pen wander until I saw some interesting shapes and then developing them a bit more. Mostly ended up doing poses rather than any sort of design, and I didn't really develop any of them too much, although I might go back to some that have potential. Here's a few of my favorites.
I'm enjoying Alias Sketchbook quite a bit. Very simple and loose and lets you get ideas out really quickwithout a heavy interface. It seems like a good tool for conceptualizing before taking something into PS or Painter.
