Topic = Home of the Trolls

Deep, dark and foreboding or warm, fluffy and cozy? Either way, beware. Trolls dwell here...
Once a thriving place of joy and happiness and a kingdom from which most happy tales originates. For years the happiness of people and King's men that ruled was able to keep the evil away. At last the King was overthrown and the place that used to be a place of welcome has since been a home of trolls. Now only the most brave of humans dare to get close to the area, and things that were are now left in ruins. One tale says that in the top of the highest tower lies a secret kept there by the most evil trolls. A secret kept there because of its importance to them and their survival. Because of this supposedly important item, a competition with great awards are kept yearly for brave men and women, where the goal is go and retrieve the item. So far there hasn't been a single one to come back once the gates of the castle has been opened...
Description: These forest trolls, around 10 feet tall and strong, but low on wit, take away construction material from villagers nearby by force, but don't know how to use them. Though not great builders, they managed to do some customizations to this huge tree cave.
I always imagined them to live on mountaintops rather than caves o_o
I like the the trolls that are afraid of sunlight and turn to stone if they are exposed (An awesome book is D'Aulaires' Book of Trolls).
Therefore, I think they'd live in caves protected by dense vegetation. Because they fear turning to stone, they have an obsession with graven images.
