So what time are you planning to meet at the Tate cafe? Not sure I can make it, and not sure if I can handle trains twice in three days..But just in case I can get off my arse again....

edit: I was blind, just found it on the last page. I'll make sure I call/msg someone if I am coming..

Yes, I behaved myself and everyone got eggs

As well as the cute young ladies (hehe) I think the big story for everyone there was just exactly how talented a young bastich can be - Tie's book is amazing, you have to look at it today. Tie, have you got that 'fashion kills' pic online anywhere? I wanna show it to somebody.

And why is it we're not meeting till 3? My hangover isn't that bad, Molly's not drinking, and I'm raring to go!! Anyone else wanna meet earlier?

its usually the dodgy artists who DO think they are 'particularly interesting' so I wouldnt worry tie. Yer stuff is great!

I arbitrarily chose a later time cause we already had a long meet... and cause I was tired but im rearing to go too, so ill come meet ya soon as i get my life together and breakfast.

ZAChos - ... yeah, 'cause as everyone knows, you only start a sketchbook with pro quality work... Chill, and put 'em up bigger in an SB (I can't actually see them clearly enough right now, although I remember the first)! Never hurts to get another opinion.

Eriboss - you'll be at the next Bristol meet? Your pics are so crazy, I want to see how you make 'em!

Mid.

I have no idea why they shrank like that. I hates you internets!!!

Sure, I'll start a sketchbook, once I've got a slightly bigger haul for the first post.

Lol, YES, I was given the Egg demo. ^_^ Twas really helpful too - thanks, Christian! You're a fab tutor~ Er, thanks for the surprise hug/kiss, too, lol.

Fran: Mind if I post some of the photos we took pre/post meet?

Kim: It was wonderful meeting you - thank you so much for the tips and letting me hover over your shoulder as you painted.

Chee: Was awesome meeting you - cheers for hanging out with us on the Friday too. Have you tested out the inks yet?

Adam (asguardian?): You're funny! xD At random moments I have flashbacks on stuff you guys said (mainly in Pizza Hut) which makes me burst out laughing. Must be weird for people passing by... Awesome SB too - it inspired me to work on sillhouettes and I think it influenced one of my sketches (will post it when my scanner stops being an arse).

Ben: Amazing SB!! You've conveyed feeling into your artwork really well. I hope to see more sometime.

Sam: It was a pleasure to meet you - your explanation on the structure of the face was helpful and I only wish I whipped out my camera in time to snap a pic of you in that arty t'ai chi stance! xD

Zac: Myooo~~ It was great to meet you after knowing each other for so long(ish?). Sorry I couldn't give you a proper hug; was kinda involved with Christian's tutorial. ^_^;;> Will do next time~

Michael: It was refreshing to meet a fellow perfectionist on the path to loosening up! Haha. Hope to see more - will add you to MSN too.

Sean: I still can't believe you're only 15! >.< Damnnit, lol. But really, fab SB - I look forward to seeing more~

Aaaaand my mum's calling me for dinner. Sorry to the people I've missed out/didn't get to talk to much. Here's hoping my scanner decides to stop being a diva by the time I get back. >_<;

Take care, all, a really inspirational and motivational meet!

Hey! Now you're making it sound like I *didn't* behave! Well, go view the prague photo thread for examples of past behaviour haha - and I passed on the message today, we were all zoned out in YET ANOTHER NANDO'S.

Today was awesome. We met at the Tate and settled, eventually, on sitting on the fifth floor couches facing the river through the huge windows. Sitting there drawing, it was a while before we realised we'd drawn quite a crowd. I don't know how big, I was busily trying not to suck in front of them all hahaha - Kim of course was busily whoring ArtRage to anyone who walked by. At any rate, it was excellent, but I had to keep turning the music up every time I realised people were talking about me. Honest, I can't deal with that very well - think I need to do it more to get used to it.

Next time I think I'll bring my laptop as well, Kim. Should be a laugh

Hello y'all English people.
I've never been to England before, but now I am going to spend 4 days in London in mid April. I guess that 4 days aren't enough to view the city but still I wanted to spare some time on eventualy hanging out with any of you guys. You know, in case you'd be up for a scetching session in the tubes or while barhoping or at lifedrawing or whatever....I wouldn't want miss that.
I might not be the coolest, most social or most talented guy out there and we probably have only our faible for CA in common....but....uhm, I though I could give it a try.

Blacky - while you are in london, there is a michelangelo exhibition at the british museum. It would be worth trying to get in if you are interested.

I had a long and eventful day in london, couldn't meet you lot at the tate because me and tony got stuck in covent gardens. Im well dissapointed and my feet kill cos I wore heels. But it was worth it, went to a fantastic book signing at the 'Forbidden Planet' on Tottenham Court Road. Neal Asher is such a decent bloke.
There are some art books there too, I got another star wars one. They have a huge book with all the star wars constumes in, but I couldn't afford it :X lol. Bristol has a forbidden planet as well, so shall be popping over there at some point.
Anyways, had a fantastic time even if I did little sketching, London would be officailly perfect if they sorted the underground out.

Hey i thought it might be a cool idea for those of use who took photos to make like a little picture journal or sketches journal so post them if you have any!
Heres mine (apologise for the photos of us lost looking for nandos it was really dark and the only editing software i could find was crap the other one wouldnt load!!)
( a lot are random or stupid...)
Naomi and i at the train station on our way
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...on/naomime.jpg

We then went to the british museum ( pics might be good if anyone wants to draw them as environments)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...don/museum.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...on/museum2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...on/museum3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...on/museum4.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...aomimuseum.jpg
Then you lot all took ages to get there so we thought we'd do some posing =]
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...omiglasses.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...miglasses2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../meglasses.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/mepillar.jpg
And i felt arty...lol
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ondon/arty.jpg
We trooped over to starbucks before we went in
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../starbucks.jpg
Inside the one room in the museum ( Zac these were for you as you were drawing it)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...seuminside.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...euminside2.jpg
Then went to pizza hut for the lunch time buffet and Adam had 4 platessss!! dude, where do you put it??!?!
n e ways heres his fourth plate =]
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/pizzahut.jpg
Then we tried to find nandos
and we were lost for about half an hour!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ondon/guys.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ndon/guys2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ndon/guys3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ndon/guys4.jpg
I apologise for the redness the editing software is poo like i said

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ndon/guys6.jpg
We fiiiinally made it to nandos, hurrah!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...don/nandos.jpg
Here are some of the views of East India in the Docklands where Naomi and I stayed, i thought they would make good environments, feel free to draw them
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../eastindia.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...eastindia2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...eastindia3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...eastindia4.jpg
Naomi and i then went to china town and met up with Koshime
these would also make cool environments
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../chinatown.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v315/pink_fairy_princess5/london/chinatown2.jpg"]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...chinatown2.jpg[/URL]
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...chinatown3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...chinatown4.jpg
Then we went to paddington to catch our train home but we were delayed
I thought this metal work is cool
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...paddington.jpg
and we were standing next to an uplighter so we got inspired....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...addington2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...addington3.jpg
but then took a normal pic
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...addington4.jpg

I was just finishing off a bottle of Baileys, what I didn't think about before I started this task was that it gets stronger as you go down the bottle. So I am unintentioanlly tipsy.

Anyway, thank you catoonfox . I got stuck in totenham court road at about 6pm :X (I kept going back there - mistake!) it took me over an hour to get to waterloo, lol. I smile about it now, but i wasn't so happy then, haha. Oh, I am in plymouth, wooooooo - but I move around a lot, I have a been at a friends this week, we are close to london.
I got another art book as well - ''Quantum Dreams - by Stephan Martiniere'' this is one seriously awsome art book. Its small, but the guy is a genious.
Yeah; let me know when there's bristol meet and I'll see what I can do .
