Hello, here are some crappy enviro studies i did today.
happy to see that you're back krato.
i see [what i could only guess as] good sensitivity to color in your environment studies. I'd like to see a little more confidence in your strokes and shapes, especially in mountain silhouettes and bits fo architecture.
AHHHHH a great landscape painter! How in the fucking world is that crap? You wanna see crap? Click my sig. Or don't. I'd advise not to. That isn't bad at all. Keep posting them so I can see how it's done, son.
in your most recent post i think the first two could use more emphasis on atmostpheric perspective. Its kinda confusing to the eye, in the first one especially.
And in the second it will push the house forward more.
Beautiful colors and economy! Its really nice that you are using broad mark making!
These are awesome!
Life is a long lesson in humility.
Ary: thanks, yeah i find it a little hard to get the whole atmosphere right.. so i did this painting from jaime jones that had a lot of atmospheric interference!
a self port of my baby face and a Jaime Jones study.. i love him

Good enviro studies, Krato. Do many different environments, snow, deserts, jungles, swamps etc to build up a big library in your head. Don't forget to do cityscapes too to practise your perspective combined with your environment studies.

Krato's back, yay nice studies man, colors look good on the still life, but like you said work those edges some more. I would suggest framing your still life's even if they are just studies so that the composition is money as well, show all the phone, don't crop the bottom of the shoe etc... constantly thinking about compositions in everything will reinforce all that stuff in your personal work. cheers man!
The environements are looking amazing to me^^
I am looking forward, getting myself a tablet and start with digital painting.
Very nice work as always! Dont u have another sketchbook around here somewhere?
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

totally dig the cloudy sky study in the beginning ... cloudy skies are one of the biggest challenges in illustration imo especially when they are supposed not just to look random but to support the scenery in its expression. Keep it up!
