i would never think of doing this in the past. Its a colour experiment which i learned alot from....... also thanks alot to Idiot Apathy for his advice.
I'll do some final touch up, so some comments on how to improve this piece?
hmm more midtones?
all the black is making it look flat. (srry dodnt mean to ryme ..)
the lighting on the hair is inconsistent with the lighting on the face
i took a quick sec to show what i meant, im by no means any good but i think if u used less black in these areas the image would be a lot more interesting, maybe a nuetral darker blue to pop out the red?

The glowing eye catches my attention. When I look at it I see a small glowing thing in an otherwise gutted eye cavity. I would assume that it is supposed to be an eye with a glowing pupil, but the shading says otherwise. Perhaps you should leave a dark outline around the pupil and only have the exterior of the eye socket illuminated from the glowing pink-eye of doom...
