oh , very nice ideas in here .
raminafshari oh thankyou bro.
Im on holidays now. Expect more frequent and better updates. Im planning on working on stuff i wouldn't normally do. (proper digital painting as an example) crits always welcome, thanks.
This thing is for uni, idk if its finished. I dont like the hand. As a matter of fact, i don't like any of it.
the monster sketches are just pure awsome man
Ey, feller! You know I can't get enough of that bold style of yours so keep churning it out.
What I would like though is more experimentation with colours. 243 pops out to me, because the colour combinations are interesting, but I can bet you can go even further, so keep on experimenting.
AnthonyV Thanks dude! thanks for the link. turns out i love Rich anderson, thanks for letting me discover him.
tantoco thanks neighbour, wat up man. Maybe ill bump into u oneday.
Umbravita hey, long time no see! thanks for the motivation sir.
prsnsweeney ahh thank you man.
Fniss thanks, man!
Naidy Thanks naidy! Ur right, i cud push colour more. Ill do just that. Just for you of course
- - Please give me digital painting crits, im new with this shit and need all ur help Only if your not busy, of course. thanks --
Tron: Very nice pencils and line work and some very creative ideas!
dang dude. nice investment into the intuos4. i'm seeing you're enjoying it already and the large moleskine pages look excellent. great line work as always bud can't wait to see you test the acrylics!
Loving your line quality. Super enjoyable on the eyes.
Also digging the cross hatching and styling.
Definitely going to have to invest some time starting from page one and giving your sketchbook a nice solid look through.
I can only appreciate you so much before you start to depreciate. I limit you because I love you.
I think you have a very powerful style! I love how the lines are straight and hard-edged -- it really gives strength to your pieces and demands attention. Kickass stuff, keep it up !!
And yes, that DOES look like a hand .
Umbravita Thanks for the crit, i see what u mean as things go off in the distance etc, and varying colours. The ref had tonnes of fog in it, i tried to emulate that, but i shud have added more green tones. thanks!
Jephyr X Thanks jephyr!
teapo thanks teapo. Yeah im enjoying it, its a great tablet. Im pretty bad at painting, so ive procrastinated using it a tiny bit. But fear not, that thing is gunna get a workout. Yeah acrylics haha, we will wait to see how that turns out!
AtomicTiger thanks man, i appreciate that. If u get thru all the pages ill appreciate even more! thanks for visiting.
Deadlyhazard Thanks alot man! haha i can't believe u read that comment lol! cheers dude.
- thanks everyone -
Im about to do more stuff tonight, but i thought id post what ive done so far. No paintings as of yet, sorry! Im trying to slow down, think about were im putting my lines, putting more effort into my studies, its hard wen i naturally wish to stylise everything.......but i can always try. thanks peeps.
Hey man I like the way you draw animals/birds/aquatic predators, very fluid and sharp!
I think your best stuff are the ones where you mix your more stylized linework with softer pencil (or whatever medium that is) shading defining the forms. The middle creature on the right in post #241 is a totally badass example of what I mean.
Malepart Thanks man! im aiming to draw more of those!
biteschlessen Thanks man, i see which one your talking about. Thankyou, i mite continue that path a bit.
Sorry for small post, i did some other crap, not worth posting imo. Digital painting aint going so well, i'll stick at it of course. I need to set myself a clear plan, (i sort of already have) to manage my time well, draw well and properly , etc....
dude i know how you feel with the digital paint you just have to keep practicing my digital paint sucks i end up not even saving most of it and it would be really interesting to see a study done with no stylization
prsnsweeney Yeah man, its a learning curve, but not to worry, we will both get there in the end. Im not taking it seriously enough i think. Yeah some proper studies wud be good. Ill try my best.
Some (very) quick sketches of faces, and some photoshop fails....My plan is slowly coming together, to find a good, stable amount of art + other things per day, and pushing myself into unfamiliar territory.
LtPlissken Thanks Plissken!
Shit work i know, i sorta like the last paint sketch, i know theres a gazillion things wrong with it, but i feel like im starting to get a hang of it...a step in the right direction. But hey, u guys tell me! give me crits, they all help. And thanks!
HAHA I can see you have the same problem I do -- painting god damn ellipses....The drawings are fantastic but I think for the paintings you could do well by making more subtle gradations of value. A great way to do that is to set the flow to something like 40% (like in Zhang Lu's portrait videos...something like that) and build it all up to turn and play with the form. Keep it up!
Good work! I really like your style. Your line work has improved since the first pages and is showing much more fluidity. Continue working on your anatomy studies...I know it is a bit tedious but it will def pay in the long run. You've got all my encouragements!!!!

Deadlyhazard yeah, damn those elipses. Yeah good idea with the tone graduation, i will try that in future. thanks.
patram thanks man, im glad im improving somewhat. It doesnt feel like it, but if u can see it, then i guess im on the right track :p. I know, i gotta get back into the anatomy!
Naidy thanks naidy. Yeah trying out some diff rendering...ill try do more. thanks for the encouragment
Not feeling inspired much, trying to produce work regardless tho.
Tron your sketchbook is on FIRE Bro!!!!! Your work is unique and very original!! I'll be studying your style and techniques my friend.
