Hey guys, just finished painting this. I feel like I havent learnt anything in forever. So please, please TEAR THIS APART
I like the idea you've got here.
The head is too big. A reference for that kind of pose should be pretty easy to get ahold of. Is she human? Work out the skin tones more. She also looks kinda pregnant...double armpits.. (breasts form up with the armpit) Again, find a reference. You won't learn how to draw anatomy by drawing from your head.
Also, if you're looking for a more sensual scene, soften everything up and use warmer colors.
Hope that helps.
It does indeed, alot. i completely missed the arm pit thing. She is human (Ill admit I was considering making her some sort of elf at the beginning, my fault for not laying out my concept properly.) Very good advice.
Please sir, may i have some more.
Lhune - what a great diagram /paintover.
Other than anatomical issues, i'd say your lightsource is not really defined. you seem to have multiple sources and there are highlights where they shouldn't be. Maybe have a think about where the light is coming from and where the shadows/highlights would fall.
Thank you so much, this is brlliant.
You have some very bright highlights on there as well. Remember, you get very bright highlights on harder angles and shinier surfaces. Human skin is not very shiny and the human form has almost no hard edges. Just something to keep in mind.
Llhune, great paintover.

Again, thank you for the advice Its really going to help on my next one
I think Llune pretty much nailed this one...
In response to you saying you felt like you haven't learned anything in forever :
This isn't a bad thing; it simply means you're leveling off on your learning curve. If that is the case, try to change up what you're doing. Draw environments if you draw people, draw photorealistic if you draw cartoony stuff.
Very good advice clarithium. So obvious yet ive never clicked.
