These are really good! Thanks for sharing Mike! XD
Yes, I agree with everyone else ....your work is wonderful....I wish I had a bow like that one on the first page.....all these wonderful, encouraging comments...and only one that is most likely very sour grapes....I don't know what his problem is unless he just wants to rain on a parade....there is always one...LOL

Once again, thank you to all for the kind comments it is much appreciated.
Here is some new work, a mix of magic cards, private commissions and personal works.
Aaaand some shameless plugging of my new book: "Prologue" it is full color, thick 250 gsm glossy stock throughout, 44 pages, A4 size, softcover. And is for sale for $20 + plus shipping on my blog http://michaelchayes.blogspot.com
I feel like all but maybe one of these has a clear story going on in the image; like a snapshot of something much larger. Great job.
Oh God, please stop and let us mere mortals have a go, how am I supposed to get anywhere near your level?, I'm gonna go get drunk and try to forget what I saw here today otherwise I may as well just give up now, lol.

Haven't posted in a little while, but here is an update on what I have been working on. There will be more in a week or so. I don't want to just dump dozens of images at once.
Ah thank you for sharing. These are quite lovely paintings.
Art is Life

My god. Wonderful work. Cant believe I just spent twenty minutes in here. I'm supposed to be working, oops. You've just become one of my leading inspirations, and I'll definitely be buying your books.
I love everything, use of colour light detail, and on paper too. Can I ask what type of paper you use and how you get it onto the board, glue etc? I'd also like to use some of your pieces for study practice - your compositions are very strong and I feel I could learn a lot from you - would you mind?
Good luck with the kickstarter project and thanks so much for sharing.

Love the fantasy/reality vibe I get from your work. Maybe someday when I grow up (I'm 37) I'll be as good as you. Bravo!
Use it or loose it. And now I find myself trying remember where I lost my drawing skills...
Really appreciate you posting this great work, I'm a sucker for fantasy art
These are nice, are you working from models or just building on drawings of the figure from memory?
