waoh...i just saw the movie "waking life" for the first time yesterday....
its about some 17-ish year old kid who has dreams in which he has profound conversations with people about life...
the entire movie is realistically animated...the cool thing is that every seen or so looks to be drawn by a different artist.....
any one every seen it.....if not go rent it.....very deep, and the artsy stuff kicks butt....
one pic from movie ...
two pic from movie ..
lucky three pic .

"The function of art is to stop us and take us out of our skin,
Unveiling the spirit's pure nakedness without beginning or end.
These dialogues of Maker and Seer weave together matter with soul,
Consecrating the practice of art as speech of the ineffable." ~ALEXgrey
....fear the munky
Dont forget about the amazing soundtrack either
My favorite scenes were the monolouge where theres this alien sounding kid talking about leaving the planet and the one with the guy in the overalls playing the ukulele talking about how easy we confuse dreams with reality.
I dont think they animated it, looks like a filter or maybe rotoscope (?)
Yeah, they animated it using something similar to rotoscoping
my mom uses this in her teaching class. its very cool....the dialogue is :boring: . i watched it on mute listening to hendrix...very cool.
