Well, I've been lurking around CA for a couple of months now, and I only recently got up the courage to start a sketchbook.
Trying to entice and lure in a real, live artist to help me not suck so much.
For this purpose I have brought with me the following:
- A willingness to learn
- A solid bar of gold
Whether the last item will be used to pay off this said artist, or merely bludgeon him/her into submission, the plan has yet to say, but we'll see how it goes.
The awful truth is that the way I've been learning to draw the last coupla years has been a bit haphazard. I'd jump from anatomy, to trying out colours, to even animating without a solid grasp of the basics. I've just recently begun to fix this by going through Loomis' 'fun with a pencil' and taking a stab at perspective drawing.
I'd really love someone who could give me some structure to learning, someone who'll stop me from throwing myself in the deep end everytime I try something, and tell me when I'm doing something wrong (which you must admit, is often). More then that, someone who'll point me in the right direction.
You can find samples of my work at my newly anointed sketchbook (see sig) and Deviantart (although the stuff there is at least a coupla months old, so be afraid).
Thanks in advance to anyone who shows an interest.
