Hey everyone, after lurking around this site for awhile I've finally decided to make a thread of my own. I've loved art for years but in school could never get into an art class which really discouraged me from going full steam ahead. About 2 years ago, I decided to get back in it and thought "Why not teach myself with the help of book and the internet?" As of right now I don't have a tablet, so most of my posts will be either drawings or paintings. With your help I hope to get better and expand my range of artwork.
Thanks in advance.

Most of these are older sketches, I did the last one about a week ago...
All of them are done with graphite.
2 days ago I got a set of charcoal pencils that contained a 2b,4b,6b,and white pencil. Here's what I've come up with so far.
Here's a Still Life painting of some Peppers using oil paint.
Here's a portrait of Bruce Lee done in graphite
This painting is about a year old, oil on canvas.
FantasyArtist: Thanks, I'll try to upload a couple more before the nights end.
Nice sketches! I love the peppers painting! I can't do squat with real paints so I always admire people who are good with them.
The drawings are pretty nice too, but they'll benefit from more anatomy understanding. I would focus more on doing line drawing studies and understanding the structure of the head and body and then concentrate on rendering.
Danielll Yeah Bruce was super fun to draw, that's actually one of my current favorites, the issue I had was figuring out how do to the sun glasses.
krysjez Thanks, that was my 1st ever still life I'm anxious to do some more.
Windmaker I really appreciate the crit, I'll try to knock out some line drawings, anatomy is something that I really haven't tackled and it's about time that I did starting from the basics and building up from there.
Aside from that here's a self portrait I did last night.
Some sort of poisonous toad
For the longest I've stayed away from doing full bodies because I'm terrible at it, so I figured it's about time I start working on the fundamentals. Here's my 1st every male/female proportion study and a couple sketches any feedback would be appreciated.

As I do more of these (Loomis) studies it starts to make more sense. I know I've got a long way to go but after I did these sketches it seemed like doing the male and female proportion would have been way easier/accurate if I did that after I got the manikins down.
Hey guys, just because I haven't been posting doesn't mean I haven't been drawing. Here are a couple of pages out of a sketchbook.
This is one of my most recent portraits, I did it live on a friend's uStream channel, which was really nerve wrecking.
