Hi Guys, first of i'm going to start to introduce my self, I'm Vicente, I work as a character modeler for tv commercials, my story is quite simple, I can do modeling of organic stuff like characters, creatures, the thing is that most of the time I'm not the one who's designing those characters, so I started a commitment to update at least weekly something here, I gotta say also that my problem is also continuity, I got started with some project, I never finish the piece or if I start posting something then I forget it, I'm kinda asking for help, though I know that I am the only one who can solve this, please bear with me, I apprecciate all your comments and critics, and your support and cheering to keep updated this sketchbook, so beforehand thanks so much.
I got into TAD Discovery program, I learnt a lot, and one of the advices from the instructors was to draw more from observation and imagination than trying to copy an image or a photo, so here are the first results of that exploration
Drawing from observation is great in all but there is definatley nothing wrong with drawing from photo reference. Try to invent the reference with your minds eye, instead of trying to copy line for line. Also like bridgman, think in masses define in lines. Think mass, plane, then line. Hope I helped.
This 2 characters are a concept sculpt completely done by me, you can se above the process of the ideas i'm digging to find a nice composition for the final image, Wich composition do you like the most guys??'
