Hello, my name is Azriel Delacroix, and I joined ConceptArt today in order to learn and practice art. All my life I've loved art, be it the written word or a simple sketch in a friend's sketchbook. Art always sent chills down my spine; Wondering how the mind could create such wondrous oddities on a blank piece of paper with a simple stroke of the hand... but I digress.
I myself, never believed that I could create what others create, that I'd always be just an observer, just a critic! So that is why I joined here today; to put in some effort and learn to become an artist.
Recently I've bought two "How to Draw" books and been practicing the techniques presented. I know how this community feels about comic book art and Japanese comic book art especially, but I feel this was a more easier medium than that of realism. (Though that's not to say this style of concept art is NOT without its share of challenges, especially to a novice like myself...) Oh! And I'm also fond of cameras, so I do a little photography here and there, thought I could learn something about it from the more talented people on this community...
There you have it! I'm Azriel Delacroix, and I would like to expand my abilities and understanding in art!
