Does anyone know if painter works with windows XP?
yeah it works fine...
"Live each day like you will die tommorow, and dream like you will live forever..."
There was much rejoicing in the realm of the Harvest Gods when man created the beer, light could not penetrate.
It works fine, except that when you draw really slow, the brush line you draw wiggles and squirms alot, making a slow curve or circle drawing really impossible. This does NOT happen with Windows 2000 for some odd reason.
So I moved my Win XP Pro to my ghetto/web box, and put a copy of Win2000 Pro on the workstation.
I'm not sure if this is a Cintiq only issue, or happens with all Wacom tablets, but I was able to duplicate this bug in my friend's workstation as well. He also uses Cintiq 15X.
I'd say the best OS for use with Painter 7 is by far Windows 2000. The worst is OSX. Brushes are painfully slow on OSX for some reason, and Painter 7 is now supposed to be OSX native! I think Corel just really pooched the Painter 7 transition to OSX.
