this place has some interesting smilies, I must say.
I've got a ton to upload but each one takes a while...
Recently I've been doing studies of paintings by old masters where I try painting characters into the scenes. I've found this to be incredibly beneficial, as I learned a great deal about how I could have better tonal ranges.
I also decided to slap some clothes on a Schiele, in sort of a concept art/art study exercise. I figured I'd make him a badass futuristic biker.
I would love to see some more finished stuff from you. The sketches have great potential, but god damn, I wish you completed them.
Here's some more IPod drawrings. I did these over the weekend while hiking.
The app is Sketchbook Mobile Pro and I highly recommend it! I find it a great change of pace from what I'm able to do on Illustrator & Photoshop. In fact it rather helps with my painting because I'm forced to not rely on the smudge/burn/lighten tools.
As always, crits/comments/non-sequiturs welcome!
