Hi, I'm new in SketchUp, so there might be a simple answer to this I'm not seeing, but how the heck to I mirror something across, say, the Y axis? And make it auto-update in real time?
I think it would have something to do with creating a component, but I don't know what. I know how to make components, but can't seem to find how to auto-update them. And even if I could do that, how do I make it so that shapes mirror instead of just updating on their own axises?

there is another way that i prefer personnaly .
select the volume you want to add a mirror , make it a component, change the view as you have the middle of the mirror effect in front f you , right click ---mirror of the selection, click 3 times as on the image , click on "no" . and you will have a real time mirror
A some tutorials I made awhile ago. First one is mirroring.
