Spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to paint armor.
great stuff you have in here!
Looks like you allready studied a lot.
There are two things I would suggest to work on:
First of all, I miss the color. Color is a great tool for a lot of things like expressing a certain feeling or to sell a material to the viewer and a lot more.
(You may allready know that, but maybe you want to remember it)
The other thing is, that the values in your pictures seem to be sometimes a bit too midtone, so they look a bit flat.
Bur overall, fantastic start for a sketchbook.
I´m waiting for more!
Thanks for the feedback Arne.
I have studied for quite a few years (and i'm glad you think it shows!) I've got quite a bit of learning to do for sure.
I couldn't agree more about the flatness of the values in some of these. It's something i'm always vaguely aware of, but your words really motivate me to improve my technique!
From photo reference. Done after watching the head rendering demonstration by Jon Foster.
Good start, the rendering is very good and the color is on it's way too!
One crit:The colored guy's armor is a bit matte,rubber-ish,was that your purpose?
Keep it up!

I really want to make it into TAD proper (hopefully with a scholarship), so I'm working hard to beef up my portfolio and apply what i learn.
