Ok -it's time to start up a finished thread here aswell I guess. I'll start with some older and some not so old. There will be both digital and traditional works here.
One of my first digipaintings, "Fight of the giants"
This one was made as a studie from the Gnomon video "Character Design Techniques Traditional to Digital Process with Keith Thompson" Great video, that unfortunatly is ruined so I might have to buy it again (I'm kind of a collector of such vids). This one is called "The clown dog".

This animal figure in the shadow is genial. But this girl;
I dont like it. She is too mutch literaly, and too little. I wish you
paint a other with time. What you think if she dont show her face, like
looking wath the icecream chief doing and holding up her left arm like
the hand over the eyes, blending from the reflection of the white icecream wagon,
just in a waiting pose? She can have a hat like 1900 on her head.
And what if you pale up the horizontal middle stripe behind the icecream chief,this makes the white of the figure darker (like it must be) than the background (a bit of turkys color in the white aereas of the figur?...)
HI pier. I wanted to create a kind of Norman Rockwell'ish scene with a surreal twist. The girl is the Rockwellian part here. I wanted to show her impatint sulky expression. Like if she has been waiting a long time for her icecream. So it was important to me to show her face.
I wanted a light piece here. But I guess I could up the contrasts a tad. Which figure do you want turkish in?
I mean the animal figure that stand in the shadow.The white colors of
this figure must be darker than the background behind (a bit more turkish in the
white I have think). And, like I have write, if you make the middle horizont stripe
behind the scenerie more white it gives more contrast and sugest a hotter temperature.
Ore you eat icecream in Bergen/Norway in the wintertime???.....
Im sorry, but I think this ompatint sulky expression not needs. It makes more like
caricature, theatralic. Rockwell has used photos for referenc. Carl Larsson is a good inspiration maybe.... What me disturbs is that the girl in your work dont have the same
stile quality like the rest? And she is too little, needs one head higher I think...?
I see. Ok I will take a look at the girl again. Not sure I want to change her expression though (can't please everybody you know), but I'll adress the rest of the issues you rasie. Thanks for the input Pier.
Oh, and the girl you posted has a to much of a sad look, were as I want her to sulky in a offended/angry way that kids can get.
My idea was to upgrade the potential poesie that this painting has.
Sometimes a covered face under a hat express more than a open face...
I absolutely see what you mean about poetry. But my main focus in this picture was a more direct humoristic approche with the play between the clumsy icecreamanteater and the girl. But I really appriciate your input. They are all valid and good, and are duely noted in my head-archive under good painting

as one compact element and the focus is more on the girl. Good done!
Here's a painting I did for the 50'th issue cover competition for ImagineFX. Didnt win though. A really fun picture to make. They were some really fun guys to party with these two, so it's a wonder I managed to finish this one at all

Here's my finished picture of a Musketeer Fish from he world of the Hammerheads. They are some heavy fish to catch. I've never cought one myself, but I have seen they have been cought. And let me tell you folks, they put up one hell of a fight.
This the digital version of my painting of Huldra. She was originally planned for oiltempera, but in the prosess I have been back and fouth wether she was to stay as a digital print. Found out I had some major gamut issues in CMYK, so she is now decided to to become an oiltempera painting.
Huldra is here in Norway usually depicted as a beautyful young woman or farms maid and usually with a cows tail. One of the lesser known features of her is her back. Which often can be seen as a hollow back, or as a rotting tre stump. It's (obviously) the latter I have used in my picture. I have omitted the tail to get away from the usual picture we here have of her, and which also is very tainted by the tourist industry.
Here is the first in a planned serie of anthropomorfic portraits I'll be doing for an exhibition in september this year. Finally found enough info about printing, so these will be printed on fine Hahnemuhle print paper. And the best thing; a friend of mine has a Epson stylus pro 9880 printer I can use
